"Let your writing create the tool of imagination for someone else to start their story.”

Come and join her on her journey.
Keneesha Judge is a single mother and teacher who resides in Pennsauken, New Jersey. Her favorite hobby is writing short stories and poetry, and two of her poems were published while she was in high school and college. Keneesha decided to write this book in order to keep inspiring youth to love themselves and to be who they want to be.
During my childhood times, I would have loved a chance to read (over and over) a children’s novel such as this. Knowing My Beauty is the written experience that every young African American girl needs to hold in their book collection to pass down for generations to come. Nikkiya like so many black and brown girls, never seen her true beauty until she receives her Magical Lockett that opens a warm imagination for the reader. You can visualize what Nikkiya is deeply feeling from her insecurities to her happiness with help from her Big Mama. I can see Nikkiya’s inspirational story as a much-needed realistic yet enchanted Disney film and later as a Broadway play. The author writes with a personal tone of compassion in this work of art.”

This a story that every child and teen can relate to. Children can empathize with Nikkiya and her lack of self-esteem. Readers can follow her on her journey to gain self-confidence while learning information about famous African American women history.”

Keneesha’s book is very captivating and filled with educational bits of knowledge suitable for any audience. As a mother of three African American beautiful daughters it’s sometimes challenging to educate them on the importance of accepting their outward and inward beauty. In a diverse and sometimes difficult climate such as the one we’re living in currently this book is awe inspiring. I would encourage mothers and educators to purchase this book for your library as an educational tool of acceptance. I encourage you as an author and fellow educator to continue to produce literary works filled with life lessons.”
